LIZ JOY, REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE FOR CONGRESS – NY 20 – RECEIVES ENDORSEMENT FROM ALBANY COUNTY SHERIFFS UNION LOCAL 775
Albany, NY: Today Liz Joy, Republican candidate for Congress in NY 20, received the endorsement of the Albany County Sheriffs Union Local 775. In endorsing Joy, President John Megyeri said, “Liz will be a true voice for Law Enforcement Officers that reject New York State’s disastrous Bail Reform and believe in protecting the citizens, as well as the law enforcement community.”
Said Liz Joy, “I am proud to accept this endorsement and promise to fight tirelessly to protect the men and women of Local 775 who put their lives at risk to protect us everyday. Our law enforcement community has a very difficult task under normal circumstances, but now, with suspected criminals being released from jail thanks to the new Bail Reform law, and with convicted criminals being released because of the coronavirus, our men and women in uniform are being mandated to work under extraordinary circumstances – and they are doing so without a complaint. My goal in Washington will be to ensure that members of our law enforcement community are provided with the tools they need to do their job, provide for their families and retire with an adequate pension.”
Liz Joy is also endorsed by: New York State Rifle and Pistol Association, Cops for Christ, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, Senator Jim Tedisco, Senator George Amedore, Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh and Former Senator Kathy Marchione among others.
